Casa Américo is a family-owned wine estate from Portugal’s Dão region, dedicated to expressing the elegance and authenticity of this historic terroir. Working with old vines and native grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro, the estate combines sustainable viticulture with minimal-intervention winemaking. The result is a refined range of wines that balance freshness, structure, and a true sense of place.

TASTING NOTES

Ruby red colour, scents if black plums and notes of pinewood.  The palate is dense and rich with delicate tannins. 

FOOD PAIRINGS

It complements grilled or roasted meats such as lamb, pork, and duck, as well as charcuterie and cured sausages. The wine also works well with tomato-based dishes, herb-driven Mediterranean cuisine, and soft to semi-aged cheeses. For a vegetarian option, try it with mushroom dishes, roasted vegetables, or lentil stews.
